 Creator:  Kirtland, Turhand
 Dates:  1798-1800
Abstract:  Turhand Kirtland (1755-1844) was a land agent for the Connecticut, Big Beaver, and Union land companies, and founder of Poland, Ohio. Kirtland owned almost 2,000 acres in the township named after him, although he never permanently resided there.
